ABOUT KIKA VARGAS
Bogotá-born designer Kika Vargas brings together art, architecture and fashion through a distinctive language of sculptural silhouettes, unexpected proportions and hand-drawn prints. Her collections explore form, color and construction, balancing expressive volumes and precise details with an instinctive sense of ease.
After studying fine arts in Chicago and fashion at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Vargas refined her perspective at Missoni before returning to Bogotá to build her namesake label. Rooted in Colombia and informed by a broader world of art, design and culture, the brand continues to evolve through experimentation, craft and a strong creative point of view.
In 2021, Vargas became the first Colombian designer named a finalist for the LVMH Prize, followed by a Target designer collaboration in 2022 that introduced her signature language to a broader international audience.
Kika Vargas manufactures locally in Bogotá, supporting approximately 100 women heads of household while combining local expertise with globally sourced materials and resources. Today, the brand is carried by more than 30 luxury retailers worldwide, building a growing international presence while remaining closely connected to its Colombian roots.
